Understanding Love: Your Team's 5 Languages
There’s a book I want you to read. It’s called The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. This book completely transformed the way I look at relationships—relationships with my friends, family, team members, everyone. It can help transform YOUR relationships, too!
Everyone in your practice receives appreciation in different ways. Here’s something you can do for each of the five love languages:
- Words of Affirmation: Write a heartwarming note to one of your team members.
- Quality time: Treat your team to a round of drinks after work.
- Gift Giving: Bring donuts and coffee to work in the morning.
- Acts of Service: Take out the trash, or help clean an examination room.
- Physical Touch: Ask someone if they need a hug!
The five love languages don’t just strengthen relationships within your team. They strengthen relationships outside your practice, too. We’re all about having a better practice AND a better life here!
Want more ways to show appreciation? Watch our latest video, then share it with the team. Plus, we have an insightful piece about how appreciation translates into motivation.
