What was the last time you took a vacation? If you can’t remember, it’s probably been too long!
Dentists don’t prioritize rest as much as they should. Rest is often seen as a reward, something you only do when there’s spare time. And what do dentists usually say? “There’s so much work to do. I don’t have time to rest!”
The problem is, if you don’t rest, you will burn out. It should never get to that point. Rest isn’t a reward; it’s a requirement!
Schedule rest like it’s an important meeting. Sit down with your calendar, and plan your breaks in advance. Then, when it’s time to go on vacation, take an actual break. Bringing your laptop to the beach doesn’t count as resting! Work ruins the vacation—not just for you, but for everyone around you.
Rest does NOT mean you’re lazy. Rest helps you reset and recharge. Those who prioritize rest take good care of themselves. So, sit back, relax and soak up the sun!
