The word “company” can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Dental practices these days have drifted too far from what it really means to be a company. They’ve become profit-driven, and team members are treated like robots.
Let’s get back to what a practice once was: breaking bread with friends.
Right now you’re probably thinking, “What does bread have to do with my practice?” The answer is found in a single word. “Company” is a Latin word with “com” meaning “together” and “panis” meaning “bread.” It all makes sense now!
Company and community are very similar. Not just in the way they’re spelled, but how you need to treat your practice. Yeah, making money is important, but you’ll wind up pretty dang miserable if all you think about is profit. Nurture relationships with patients and team members to get back to the real meaning of a company.
Breaking bread is pointless if you do it alone! Share what it means to be a company by watching this video with your team. It’s a great way to kick start tomorrow’s morning huddle!
